"The most beautiful emotion we can experience is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science."
- Albert Einstein
I have never viewed my university life solely as an academic pursuit; I actively sought out opportunities to enrich myself through culture, music, and local as well as international experiences. Although I do not play an instrument, I have always been a dedicated, loyal, and passionate listener. I translated this connection to music into action by contributing to student communities, organizing events, and taking on administrative roles. On this page, I share this dynamic aspect of my university journey, highlighting the organizations I have been a part of and helped grow. Furthermore, music is not just something I listen to—curating playlists is one of my favorite hobbies and holds a central place in my routine. I am quite active on Spotify, and you can visit my profile via the link at the bottom of the page to explore my playlists.
Ankarock Welcome Event - 25.10.2023
Founded at Ankara University, Ankarock is a student organization that approaches rock and metal music not merely as genres, but as a unifying culture. Our goal is to connect listeners who appreciate rock, metal, blues, and jazz both on and off campus. Whether one plays an instrument or not, I contribute to creating an inclusive space for everyone who shares an appreciation for this music by organizing concerts, talks, festival logistics, and listening sessions. We continue to expand Ankarock and keep Ankara's rich rock and metal culture vibrant.
Under the Ankarock umbrella, we engage with music and culture collaboratively. Key events we regularly organize to strengthen community ties include:
You can follow our upcoming events on social media and participate in ticket giveaways for local concerts in Ankara. Students at Ankara University are welcome to join directly, while non-members can attend all our open events. You can also explore or contribute to our "Ankarock Cult" article series featuring album and artist reviews using the link below.
Over the past two years, various university rock societies joined forces under the UniRock umbrella to create collaborative spaces and contribute to rock culture on a broader scale. We work together to support music communities and promote inter-university solidarity.
As the Ankarock Representative within this collective, I participate in event coordination, planning, and logistics from the foundational stages onward.

What is ESN (Erasmus Student Network)?
ESN is one of the largest student organizations in Europe, supporting internationalization in higher education, facilitating intercultural integration, and providing peer-to-peer support for exchange students.
Following my own Erasmus+ exchange, I joined ESN Ankara University to support incoming international students with their integration into the city, local culture, and academic environment. As a candidate member, I assist with organization efforts and peer mentorship.
